Folk art - Folk Art describes a wide range of objects that reflect the craft traditions, and traditional social values, of various social groups. Folk artists are generally self-taught.

American Folk Art Museum - The American Folk Art Museum has existed in various forms, and at various locations, since it was founded in 1961. The museum opened in its permanent location on West 53rd Street in Midtown Manhattan (New York City, USA) on December 11, 2001.

Fraktur (Pennsylvania German folk art) - In the United States, Fraktur is used to describe highly artistic and elaborate 18th century and 19th century illuminated folk art drawings created by the Pennsylvania Dutch (perhaps more strictly Pennsylvania Deitsch or Pennsylvanian German). Most Fraktur were created between 1740 and 1860.

Chinese folk art - Folk arts have a long history in China.

Creating Their Own Space: The Development of an Indian-Caribbean Musical Tradition by Tina K. Ramnarine,
Characterized by fast-paced, highly danceable rhythms, Chutney is a fusion of traditional caribbean folk art and contemporary Indian caribbean folk art and Caribbean influences. With its roots in the OutsHindi folk songs performed at birth caribbean folk art and wedding ceremonies, Chutney has recently emerged in contemporary Indian-Caribbean life caribbean folk art and has gone largely unrecognized in the body of scholarly literature. In this volume Tina K. Ramnarine explores the evolution of Chutney caribbean folk art and introduces the emerging Indian-Caribbean genre into the arena of scholarly discourse about music. Through analysis of the music, Ramnarine provides insights into social processes, effects of the diasporic settlements, caribbean folk art and ways the music operates as a symbol of Indian-Caribbean identity. Some of the Indian elements in Chutney are not traditional, rather they are new ideas incorporated into the construction of the Indian-Caribbean identity. This introduction of new cultural elements is a common occurrence among people who have been transplanted to an unfamiliar geographical caribbean folk art and cultural environment.
